The IMCRC has a vision for a globally connected and smarter Australian manufacturing industry. We are industry-led and develop important new technologies, products and services in Australia’s manufacturing sector. We operate in the context of the Australian Government’s Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) program to improve the competitiveness, productivity and sustainability of Australian manufacturing firms, and to drive digital and business model transformation. We will deliver manufacturing outcomes in line with government priorities in key growth sectors and in science, research and innovation, encourage and enable small and medium enterprise (SME) participation in collaborative research, and fund projects to tackle industry specific problems through research partnerships between industry entities and research organisations  

VenturePro provides an advisory service catering to organisations planning new research collaboration initiatives or seeking funding for research programs, new initiatives, new technology ventures, or new research or healthcare infrastructure. We work closely with clients to conduct the early planning for new collaborative research or commercialisation initiatives and to prepare funding submissions, business cases, economic impact assessments and budgets. Working closely with research and industry collaborators, we prepared the successful bids for the Autism CRC and the Wound Management Innovation CRC and have assisted several other CRC bids in the preparation of their Impact Tool.
We have a proven track record of successfully assisting clients across a diverse range of sectors to secure over $790 million in government and private funding for our clients. This includes $230 million from Queensland Government programs, $510 million from Australian Government programs, and over $50 million from private sources. The average amount of direct funding secured for our clients’ projects is $10.2 million, and we have a 78% success rate on those projects where we play a direct role in the planning for and drafting of the submission. 

I am working with Tony Peacock of the CRC-A to help build WA led bids for new CRCs and CRC-Ps.  I am very keen to talk to prospective WA bidders - or to bidders from other states who wish to incorporate WA-based R&d capabilities about their involvement while at the CRC conference.

Greg is the Managing Director of Consulting & Implementation Services (CIS). His firm is the major provider of consulting support to CRC applications typically supporting about half of all applications with more than half being funded.  They have well developed processes and systems for each component of the application including; impact modelling, financial tables and industry engagement. 

In addition to their CRC expertise, CIS is a major provider of consulting services to the research and higher education sector where they help secure research income (from both grants and industry partnerships), technology transfer, strategic planning and organisational redesign.
